Wildlife at the Head of the Severn

Great Blue and Green Herons, Egrets, Osprey, and even a couple of deer allowed us to creep up on the kayaks.

Saturday on the Severn

Towed the kayak with the powerboat up to the headwaters to explore Severn Run, but the tides were too low to even allow the kayaks to enter the marshlands.

SERC Sunflower Surprise!

Kallan received a planted sunflower seed at one of the Smithsonian programs last Spring. She planted it surreptitiously in my herb garden, but it didn't remain a secret for long.
