Dec 5: SNOW!
The Longwood trip was canceled due to weather, and the Advent slip got lost. We made paper, played in the snow, drank hot cocoa, and snuggled by the fire.
Dec 3: Get a Tree
Day 2 was read by the fire. On Thursday, we went out on a search for a balled and burlaped native white pine, which will stay outside and be decorated for the birds. In the Spring, we will plant it on the slope to replace one of the trees we have lost.

Mystery Insect
A bunch of these little (about the size of a printed period) hopping insects hitched a ride in on our rain guage one morning. We have not identified them yet.
